Fly from space to your neighborhood.
Type in an address and zoom right in.
Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels.
Get driving directions.
Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings.
Save and share your searches and favorites.
Even add your own annotations.

Pretty cool if you ask me..

Google Earth downloads temporarily delayed

Thanks for your interest in Google Earth, but we're sorry we can't offer you a download right now. As you know, Google Earth is in beta, and we're still building out our ability to take on new users. We're making good progress, and expect to be able to accept new downloads shortly, so we recommend you check back daily at earth.google.com. We hope to be able to welcome you and other new planet surfers soon.

We appreciate your patience,

The Google Earth Team

:(

Otherwise, my thoughts are it will be hella cool.

I downloaded it, very sweet program. You can see 3d views of major buildings (like in Washington, DC) from what I heard.

Got it from download.com Upon start up I get an error message " we were unable to connect to the google earth server's to activate your account please verify your connection is working properly and retry."

Does this happen to everyone?

How do I fix this?
