E-Brake Cable Removal problems

Hey, Im currently removing all calipers to paint. I have to get the e-brake cable loose and am not sure how it's done. Can someone inform me as to how it is done? Thanks

I usually get a pair of vise grips and clamp the cylinder part. Then I pull the end towards me and out of the hole.

so remove c-clip and pull cable out toward rear of car and then remove from the lever? I tried this before posting my first question but it was acting like it didnt have enough cable to pull out. I'll try again in the morning. Thanks for the pic.

Make sure the emergency brake is not on.

I grab it with pliers and use a prybar with the caliper acting as a fulcrum.

thanks for all your replies guys. Done it simple just needed some leverage.
