There are quite a few people running E85 with great success. There are also many benefits with running this type of fuel but as with everything there are cons too. The primary benenfits are:
Cheaper than race fuel or even premium gasoline
Will allow the user to run more timing/boost than possible on premium and and some say more than C16
Readily available in most areas
Some cons associated with running E85 are:
Uses 20-30 percent more fuel than gasoline, thus creating the need for bigger fuel pumps, injectors and sometimes Lines/rails.
MPG will suffer due to the above mentioned
Not available everywhere
To each thier own, I personally plan on using it because I want to run big boost on the street while paying cheaper than tradional pump prices. Our trucks never did get that great of MPG so that's a mute point and in AZ E85 is everywhere. Hope this helps, for more info check out Race on E85.
