Hey guys I just went to the track last weekend and ran a 11.88 at 128.4 mph. i was on Hoosier drag radials and had a lot of wheel hop off the line so only a 2.0 60ft. my question is in regards to mph. is that about right for a full weight IRS car dynoing at 620-620 rwhp? or am i going to see a few more mph once i get the launch setup?

I just bought a set of Hoosier QTP 28x11.5x16. so that should fix my launch issue. I already have the FTBR delrin setup ( i installed with every option) a brace and some stage 2 DSS shafts (on the car when i bought it).

thanks for the info.

Your mph is right for your combo. I'm running similar combo see mods, but on a sra, my best on 315/ 35/17 nitto nt05r's is 11.4 @ 127.8 with a shitty 1.8 60ft.

I was thinking that as well. but a buddy of mine who dynoed 100rwhp less in an evo ran the same mph and he said i should be running in the 130's (he is only 100 or so pounds lighter) i thought 128 was about right for a 630rwhp cobra...?

i ran a 7.88 at 95.67mph in the 1/8 on that run (11.88 at 128.4)

I'd think I'd b a Lil higher for that power . At 444/484 i ran 11.73 @ 119 with 1.7x 60 . No so far with 492/522tq I ran 11.32 @124 . I'd say with some good tires and better 60 youl b a good bit higher .

128 with 620 wheel is about right? Wow. Not even close guys. Should be higher. In his case, hooking it up earlier will help the trap speed. He isn't picking up speed like he should if he is wheel hopping all over the place. Car should see low to mid 130's with that power and a clean pass. Good luck and report back.

Seems a little low to me too. No other problems besides the 2.0 60ft? What was the weather like? How did you cool the car off?

Lots of things to take into consideration guys. Traction and all the other things mentioned but most importanly, ELEVATION of the track. If your at sea level or like 1000ft above id say you'd probably trap 130 or higher.

ya that seems low to me too. i ran 128 mph with 525 rwhp 500 tq in a 3500 lbs full weight grand national. i would fig at least 130 mph with a full weight stick cobra.

Looks to me like you're shifting too slow, rpm too low/high on shifts or bogging real bad on the line? if i had to guess. You trapped 95 mph in the 1/8 mile and then 128 mph in the 1/4. Your car is pulling real well in the back half of the track but in the 1/8 you should be close to 100mph. As an example my car did 94-98 in the 1/8 and ended between 118-122mph in the 1/4 with 500rwhp 500tq- full weight. You do most of your shifting in the first half of the track so something is off there. Once you get your 1/8 mile up in the 99 mph zone then you will get your 1/4 mile in the 130 range.
