I have a buddy with an '03 Cobra and I think he should be making more power for his mods. Shouldn't his torque be over 500 at this boost level?
What do you guys think. Please post your mods and power levels.

Dyno numbers are 473.8rwhp and 463.1rwtq.

A/F is to 11.3 to 12.0.

So here is the mod list.

Apten ported Eaton blower.
Denscharger CIA.
Metco 6psi over stock lower pulley.
Metco idler.
Magnaflow X-pipe with cats.
Magnaflow cat-back.
SCT tune by Bama Chips(Doug904)

Boost is 13.5-14psi max.

Thanks.

Hey Wicked. What was his torque number before the port? Should be at least 480lb-ft with a 6lb pulley. Top end seems a little low as well. But I don't have much room to talk. How much WOT timing is he running?

Hey man,
BTW, I'm talking about Travis(NO2MORO) from bamamafia.com.

His torque was 445 ft-lbs before and after the port. Basically no change.
I think he was saying current timing is about 23-24 max. Sound right?

I'm confused. You said 463 lb-ft in your first post and 445 lb-ft before and after in your last post. 23-24 degrees is more than enough timing.

Travis needs to get a Predator or Raptor hooked up to his car and datalog some WOT parameters like air intake temps, air flow, timing, etc.

Wish I lived closer to B'ham.

It went like this:

418rwhp/445rwtq - 6 psi lower, CAI, aftermarket idler, stock catback, bassani offroad x, SCT chip.

423/441 - magnaflow catback.

461/447 - Stock h(aftermarket was too loud), apten port.

473/463 - Aftermarket Catted X and Tuning. Magnaflow catback, 6 psi lower, idler, CAI, SCT chip.

You get it?

It is starting to sound like Dynomometer inconsistencies.

Could there be a problem with Blakes dyno? I remember him telling me the torque seemed pretty low. BTW any problems installing the X pipe.

I don't think so. The 461/447 was done during our dyno day and noone else was as running low. We had a guy make less power and more torque from a less modded 03 that day.

I have heard that people were reporting torque losses when they port their blowers. Has this been taken into consideration?

I didnt gain much peak torque with my ported blower, but my mid-range gains are there. I dyno'd 459.8 rwhp and 462.1 rwtq before my ported blower. here is my dyno chart after the port...

This is with a avg. 11.9 to 1 a/f ratio and 23 degrees of timing up top on 93 octane and 12.5 to 13 #'s of boost.
