Has anyone dynoed their car on both types of Dynos?

Does anyone know what the difference is??

Our club Falls City Mustang Club is having a Dyno day this Saturday and it is on a Mustang brand Dyno..

I haven't seen anyone post numbers on anything but a Dyno jet..

Thanks!

Todd, as far as I know, Mustang Dynos have the ability to dyno the car while it is under load. Since the car is under load while on the dyno, it gives a lower reading than a DynoJet. I'm not sure if it's possible to use a Mustang Dyno without putting the car under load.

The difference between the two can be pretty big (Like 285hp-vs-255hp). The Mustang dyno is supposed to be better for tuning, though, because of the whole load issue.

P.S. You and I need to race your dad. I bet it would be a pretty close race.

I agree Zach.. I think it would be close.. just don't try and take him into a corner! That thing handles like it's on rails!

So are you going to meet us Saturday and head over to the Dyno?

Todd
