Driveline Vibration

I've been getting this vibration in my car when I either let off the gas, put the car in neutral, or during braking while the car is in motion. The vibration goes away if i give it gas. I've already replaced the pads and rotors so i know its not that. I've also verified and set my pinion at -2 (aluminum single piece driveshaft) so i'm pretty certain it is not that either. I'm almost at a loss of where to check next. Any ideas?

I also don't think its an out of balance DS or loose DS bolts because while i'm giving it gas i do not get any vibrations. I've had it over 100mph and no vibrations. Once i let off the gas though its vibration city.

Im sorta in the same boat. I just had my diff checked by a specialist and he saw nothing wrong. I'm thinking the rear suspension might need aligning. I'm seeing a pro tomorrow so I'll let you know if that helps. I'm on a completely adjustable rear with 1 piece aluminum shaft BTW. Also, mine is perfect until I'm over 85 ish.

I meant driveshaft sorry, you said you had a aluminum one? What brand? Does it have the u-joint?

No worries. Yes its a Driveshaft Shop one piece aluminum. Yes it has a U joint.

I figured out the issue though after speaking with a tech at DSS. They recommended that you set your pinion to 0 . I did that and all vibrations are gone.

Yep, I got my car alignment done and the rear was a little off. My pinion was 2.5, we set it to 1 so it should be at 0 under load. Huge improvement.

I didn't the shop did. But you can put it on the engine crankshaft dampener if you cant get it on the flange. Or worst case scenario you drop the DS and measure on the vertical side of the flanges.
