Drive shaft too long

Just changed to 4.30 gears and found out my crush sleeve/spacer thing was destroyed (9"). I think this is from when I first recieved my drive shaft and didn't realize it was too long (have since resized).

My question is, if it can destroy the crush sleeve, what could it have done to the transmission? What would be the symptoms?

Thanks

I think most of the damage would be to the differential. On the transmission end, you could have bearing or case damage, but if it's not leaking and you're not hearing weird noises coming from the transmission, you probably dodged a bullet.

I’d guess damage to the trans output shaft would be first guess. Should be fine if no driveline vibrations.
