Drag Strip pic and times

Made it out to Byron dragway today and ran a best of 12.2 @116. Was hoping for the 11 sec time slip, but oh well. A few more mods over the winter and a nice cool spring day should do it

Ya, i'm almost at redline in fourth gear at the 1320. I will prob step down to a 4:10 or even a 3:73.

I wish I had a pic like that! I guess I have a vid of me at the track, but it's from the stands. I'd rather have one from the angle your pic was taken at.

So you have Nitto DR's? What size? I need to figure out how to launch on mine (275s), I only managed a 1.9 on them.. ouch.

Actually I am running 275 ET Streets. I cut a 1.8 with the nittos too though.

I plan doing a drag suspension this winter so I can get a 1.6-1.7 60'.

why not just run a taller rear tire instead of changing gears? To me the times seem a little on the "slow" side. My buddy ran a 12.2 last year with a v2 vortech 98 cobra. he only made 420/360 and was on 18" wheels (305/35/18) nittos outback. His car weighed 3500 w/ out him in it. were you short shifting?

Also, I wish my new car was here from California. Would have loved to go. Is the track going to be open more this year? Would be fun to meet up there and what not.

According to their on-line schedule, they will be open the 14th and 15th. These are the last days listed on the website.

I was taking it to redline but wasn't power shifting or anything. THis was the first time running it with the vortech, so I am still getting use to the power.

Cool. I work up the street at the dealer by the mall. I have the green cobra thats in my sig. Ill keep an eye out for ya cruising around. Can't miss my car, green and real loud..lol

BUt yea, drive that thing a little more aggressivly. My car with an xpipe, catback, 100shot and a drag radial went 12.50@112. You should have a lot more in the car then that.

I've seen you drive by a few times. Your car sounds good.

Once I get a better suspension, i will be able to launch better and hopefully keep the tires from breaking loose.
