Drag Radials on stock wheels?

I was looking to get some drag radials, what's the widest i can go with stock 8 inch wide rims??

275, and thats with them bulging quite a bit. My Nitto 275's didnt bulge at all but Nittos run narrow

^Yep, 275 40 17 Nittos would be your best bet. Throw some spacers on that bad boy and you're set.

I have a set of 275 m.t. et street radials on mine and they do bulge quite a bit, but they are the best of the drag radials!

you could put a 315 Nitto on a 9 inch rim. 295 other wise but i dont think DR's come in that size

Look at the pics in the sig...those are MT 275/40/17 Drag Radials on a stock 8inch rim. Great little track/dry weather tire. I DO NOT recomend those for daily driver/wet weather usage. White knuckles doesn't begon to describe how scary that ride can be.

yup almost ended up in a ditch when my DR's got bald and it was pouring out...went completly sideways on me but some how i managed to straitin it out..

I'll go with 275 and probably get nittos since the cobra it's a daily driver, i think they wil hook pretty good since i dont have many mods!

Falken RT615's, better than a street tire, but not as good as a DR. Great in the rain, as long as you keep it under 70 on the freeway in heavy rain. In actualy rain it's fine if you drive normal.

275 Nittos or 255 BFG's.

go with the 275 nittos if you just want to use them on the street. they don't hook worth a crap at the track. i have 275 et streets on the stock rims and they are awesome.

Tell E.A. that 275 Nittos dont hook at the track.... he is puttin down 700hp, there is a vid around somewhere

I wouldnt put 315's on a 9" rim regardless if they were nittos or not. For 315's id get a 10" rim.
