Hi,

I am swapping valve covers and was wondering how many people braved it without a new seal kit?

I have 15k on the car, it's an 04. Do you think I should just pony up the cash for a new set or can I get away reusing the old ones?

If anyone knows where the best deal can be had on a new set, please let me know.

Thanks!

I just took my covers off and painted them. Buy new seals. I bought mine from ford.

Your dont want to cheap out on those because they are such a PITA to get on and off.

My vote, replace them.

Replace the seals. Not worth having a leak that's a bitch to fix. Almost impossible to remove the driver side cover.

I never ever ever ever ever want to do the drivers side cover again.. Replace the seals, the extra $40 at napa is deff worth it.
