I live in upstate NY and the closest tuner is 4 -5 hours from me. My question is "Does the JLT RAI require you to have your car tuned?" The only mod I have is the Magnaflow Catbacks.

no, you will be fine. i have a JLT RAI and a Borla catback and my car runs great.

tune is not needed but it would help your numbers.
stock tune is set very rich in higher RPM range to try to avoid warranty work.. An intake will lean out the stock tune a hair, but not enough to hurt you...
How much hp/tq can you expect to gain if you get a dyno tune with just a CAI and catback?
