I picked up a hatch back with 450k on the clock and the hatch rattle when you hit bumps. I'm not familiar with them and don't have the Chiltons book on it yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Loosen the latch and lower it little by little til it's where you want it. The bushing on the striker are a common problem because it's plastic. On my old 86, I replaced it with a brass bushing. You can also adjust the bumpstops by turning them.
