Do you relate a specific year to a certain Mustang?

For example: The other night, the wife was watching "Independance Day" so I saw that it was produced in 1996. The very first thing that came to mind was that it was the first year of the Mod Motor (in a Mustang)

But that wasn't the only time I've done that. I DO IT ALL THE TIME!

When I think of '99, first thing I think of is P.I 2V (Or Tumble port- C heads for you 4V guys lol) Do any of you guys do this? Am I the only one?

Years ago, I always used to relate a certain year to a certain movie- for instance, when I think of '76, I think of Jaws. '77- Star wars, etc. Now, being more consumed with cars than anything else, my thought process has changed. Thoughts?

All of those pop into my head when I hear those years mentioned.

Mass air debuted in '88 on California cars.

I don't do it so much with years as I do with other money. I deal with it (giving change/totals all day long so...)

For instance.. Total is XX.XX and they give me XX.XX so the change I need to give back is 4.10 (410 gears), change it 3.83 (383 stroker), etc etc etc etc.. It gets much more detailed, even cam specs sometimes! I think its funny honestly.

Whenever I hear '98, the last of that SN-95 body style always pops into my head...then I start thinking about how I want to get a cheap one down the road and make it my "dream build" :burnout:

When I think of 1969, Immediately I think of my all time dream car, the Boss 429. I think it looks so much better than the 1970 version.

Also, yes the 86 had the air starved heads, but I always think first year of FI
My 86 was "the car I never should of gotten rid of" It was the best car I ever owned (and I've owned ALOT of cars lol) It had over 400,000 km's when I sold her :burnout:
