Do washers/dryers go on sale/sell/cell/sail after the holiday?

That woman I live with insists this is so, but I want to buy a set NOW, since the current pair is shot.

I told her that most folks don't give laundry appliances as Christmas gifts, therefore they won't be "on sale".

I just found out about this site a few months ago. It works well if you want to compare pricing, Amazon will lower and raise prices based on demand (you know, like any proper business does).

We just bought brand new washer and dryer two weeks ago. Ended up buying the consumer reports guide and grabbed the highest rated top load W&D they had.

They’re huge at 5.5 cubic feet of capacity and steam opposed to standard. We have been able to throw all darks, bath towels and sheets from a family of 4 in one load.

It's just me and the missus now, so I will be buying some economy models.

And by economy, I mean cheap.
