Hello everyone:

I am doing some research, as I want to swap in a manual transmission in my 2003 F-150 5.4L. I am wondering, do Tremec T5 or T45 or TKO manual transmissions bolt up to our 5.4L. They seem affordable and strong.

Thanks!

the bellhousing pattern is the same for all rwd modular 4.6 and 5.4's. so i'm thinking the t-45 should bolt up since they were available with 4.6's in mustangs

The t45 was rated at 325 and later 375. But they're known to fail in a stock rig with a powerful launch.

The t5 you're describing is tremec reproducing the t5 with upgrades. You should specify that information. Because someone could buy a t5 out of a fox body and be sad when it fails.

This is 100% false information. Even the highest rated t5, the t5z was only rated at 330 ft/lbs and that's at 3000lbs of weight

The tremec tko500 and 600 have those ratings.

The base t5 being sold by tremec is still rated at only 300 ft/lbs

The tkx is 600 ft/lbs
I was looking at the TKO. I apologize.
