My girlfriend's Focus has some damage to passenger side of the front bumper. It's mostly just the paint scraped off, but it's also bent slightly and I think whatever the bumper is made out of may be busted just a bit. I want to try to repair this myself. Not gonna look good as new, but better than the multi-colored mess it is now.

Question is; should I be able to sand the damaged area down, then hit it with some paint or is the material the bumper is made out of going to give me problems when I start sanding?

Any other potential issues I may run into?

I will report findings when complete.

Those bumpers are molded to their shape. If you heat it up a bit, it should return to the original form, or very close.

As for paint.... I'm far from an expert in that department.
