Tires are Nitto 555 in 275x18.

Wheels were purchased from OE Wheels Direct that used to advertise in most of the mustang rags. 18x9" fronts 18x10.5" rears.

Looked good initially with all the extra camber from lowering.

BUT.. then I had to fix that with camber plates and after the alignment it looked like this!!

Seems to stick out further on the passenger side too. :bash:
Is it possible I was sold the wrong offset, like for a '99+ ??

It's been years since I bought these too.. always annoyed me. The rears seem to tuck in alot too, didn't expect that as they are the "extra wide" model.. :bored:

I think it's the tires that make it look that wide, the model is wide, and they're 275. I had 265 normal road tires on 18x9 on my SN95 from the same shop and they didn't seem to stick out that far. I think the offsets from 94-98 and 99-04 are the same.

Edit, rears tucked in on mine too which was annoying, but that was fixed when I put the slightly wider IRS in. 99+ stick axles are wider too.

Doesn't look bad to me at all - my new 18x9 FR500's with 275's up front do just about the same thing, albeit a bit more on the passenger side. The drivers side sits just about completely flush. I have a camber gauge from MM coming in today and I plan to check and adjust the camber on both wheels - it never looked quite right after I got an alignment last year, so I'm just gonna do it myself.

As others have said, I'll probably end up going with 265's up front next time around, I think that'll help a bit.

Get an alignment with like -0.7* of camber instead of making it close to 0. Car will handle better and the tires wont be out that far. And/or get 265's like others have said

Thanks guys for the responses. Looks like everything above 245's is pretty spendy!!

Might be rocking the stretched look in front this time..

I rock 255's as well, perfect tire for 9" rim.

Thought 18" saleens were 10" out back but guess not. My saleens wore 315/35/18 toyo DRs and it sat flush with the frame. It was perfect to me.

I was going to mention this as well. My 95 gt is rolling on 18x9 and 18x10 afs bullitt wheels. The fronts have 275/35/18 nitto nt555's (285/35/18 nt555's on the rear) and my camber is at around -.5* on both sides, iirc...The 275's fit perfect on a 18x9 and the buldge matches the rear tires perfectly. I don't like the buldge in the rear and stretched in the front look.

Here are some pics i took this morning. They look a little further out than they actually are, cause of the angle i took the pic at. They MIGHT stick out 1/4" past the edge of the fender when looking at the tire from the top.

thats about right, since they are 9" wide they stick out a tad more, OEM 03/04 cobra wheels I believe do the same and have a 6.1" back spacing
