Hey guys,

If any of you are thinking of getting a roguemount for your radar detector, I have a discount code for you: Roguereferral

I think the guy told me it would give you 15% off!

This is like the blend mount but much cheaper and it comes with the mirror tap. I have two of them, one on the Flex and one of the Shelby. Here is an example:

Anyway, just wanted to pass this along and save a few bucks for you guys. I don't get anything for this as I already bought mine long ago.

Oh, and don't make the same mistake I did on the 2013 Shelby... You MUST order the 7/8" mount for the new shelby. The 3/4" will not fit.

So do you order the 7/8s mount from them as well?

How hard was the installation? I suck when it comes to wiring. Is there a "how to" video out there on how to do it.

I am looking at getting one for my new 13 shelby coming in soon.

Yeah, order the 7/8 for the 2013 shelby, the 3/4 just doesn't fit.

And installation is a no brainer thing. You use an allen wrench to secure it to the rearview mirror stem. It comes with a wire tap, so all you do is insert the two wires into the back of the rearview mirror. It takes 5 minutes. :)

Looks like I will be ordering something else tonight for the damn Shelby. Hell, I have spent several hundred dollars on appearance mods like this and still don't have the freaking car.

Yeah, I find this mount to be excellent. It doesn't wobble or vibrate. And it doesn't require a cord hanging down your dash. And it doesn't leave a damn hickey on your windshield from the suction cups. :)

I originally bought the 3/4" one, and that didn't fit. But it was so cool, I threw it into the Flex. Then I ordered the 7/8" and that works on the shelby. Now I just bounce the 9500ix between the two cars depending on which one I am driving. :)

Awesome! Just curious, what is the discount anyway? Is it around 15%? I honestly didn't check so just curious what you guys are getting. :)

Yeah, about 15%. Basically pays for shipping ($8) and a little off the mount. Fine by me! I was going to order it at full pop until you came 'round.

Damn I should ask the guy for some discount on the ones I ordered weeks ago. :)

I feel good that you guys are all taking advantage of the deal though. :)

I just hope it is as easy as install as everyone says it is. I suck at wiring.

So you ordered yours weeks ago and still don't have it?

No, I have mine already. Both are installed and have been for a few weeks.

And there is no "wiring" in the sense you are thinking. You literally just plug the thing into existing spots on the wire harness that is in the back of your rear view mirror. There is no splicing or anything of the sort. Trust me dude, it's easy.

It was definitely 15% off the price of $69.99 which is $10.50. However, I noted that the $69.99 price is in Canadian dollars apparently, so we are paying slightly more after the Canadian to US conversion.
