so ive had this whining in the differential for awhile. it only seems to do it a part throttle, not during decel, or at accel just at part throttle. i had a problem awhile back where the ring gear bolts came out ( i ended up getting longer gear bolts and lock-tite'n the hell out of em). anyways went to take a look at the differential today and found that there was plenty of fluid, didnt seem like any wear marks but seemd like way too much play when i would turn the rear wheels back and forth. beings that i know just about nothing about rear ends im not sure what im supposed to be looking for. any help would be great!!

could be the carrier bearings making your noise
Take it to a ring & pinion shop, have them check it out!! if the pinion depth is off it could cause probs like this.
I didnt check on mine & my carrier exploded!! So what might be 300 bucks now could be 800 if you dont get it looked at.
