Differences between 94-98 and 99-04 8.8 rear ends?

I wasn't sure where to post this as I'm a new member on SVTP...but am hoping for a quick answer

I have a in my '93 Fox body an 8.8 with 94-98 SN95 axles (and disc brakes) that I'm looking to trade for an '03 IRS. The guy who wants my 8.8 is looking for a 99-04 spec as apparently these cars had a slightly longer axle length. My direct question is what are the differences between the 94-98's to the 99-04's 8.8 rear ends? My secondary question is, can my rear end be rebuilt with parts to meet the 99-04 track width?

The 99-04 are longer axles and yes you can swap it out to what ever length you want buy swapping the axles.
