I Grenaded my diff at the track a couple weeks ago and I am replacing it and the halfshafts early next week (as soon as I get the parts). I was wondering if it was necessary to drop the entire IRS to do this, or could I just remove the differential and halfshafts without removing the entire IRS. I have done some searches, but I just keep finding write ups on removing the whole IRS. and nothing about removing just the Diff. if anyone has done this or knows someone who has, please send some info my way. any help would be really appreciated. thanks!

It will come out the bottom without dropping the irs. Just easier to get the springs out (essential for removing the spindles). I guess you could use compressors for that.

IRS drop instructions are in the red pill link if you want to consider that way.

Thanks. I will probablly end up taking the whole irs suspension out. After reading your instructions it doesn't look too bad to drop, and will have a lot more room to work with  Thanks again
