I bought some used GT500 wheels with tires and TPMS sensors a few months back. Got them in, put them on and had the TPMS light come on. I was expecting this, and I just drove around for a few days hitting reset to make the warning go away on the dash. I never had them synced up with my car.
After two weeks or so the warning stopped coming up, and it has stayed that way for months. Then a few days ago I get a warning that my tire pressures were low, so I stopped and put some air in. The warning light went away.
Did my car "learn" the new sensors without syncing them? Not complaining one bit, just didn't think they would do that...and if they're not supposed to, then I got lucky!
