Detailing Help!

I am planning on cleaning my car this weekend and I have a few questions on how to clean the interior. I drive with my windows down a lot and accumulate what seems to be soot toward the rear of the car.

How do you keep this stuff from sticking to the interior?
(other than keep the windows up)

How do you clean the headliner? It is turning black toward the back. :fm:

How do you clean the interior trim? When I clean it using mequires wipes there are still black stain marks left behind or it requires me to put a lot of pressure with my fingernail to remove it.

This helps me with the interior trim, thanks. I more concerned with the headliner though, because it's actually cloth. We all know cloth stains.

You say its turning black? So you have the saddle colored interior? Try some laundry detergent on a small color and see what affect it has on the dirt. What is this black stuff? Tar?

It's like soot, from exhaust and crap. It's pissing me off, I don't want to use anything "damp" because I don't want to work the "dust" into the cloth and stain it.

Yes, my interior color is sadle.
