I been wanting to do this for a while to my v6 to get an idea if this was something I would want to do to the Cobra.
The seats rails come in at 9.75 lbs
The power seat assembly rails at 27 lbs (since this was not a Cobra seat it does not include the air bladders/hardware for the lumbar support)
Both you get the idea. The swap was super easy and completely reversible.
The front switch panel has to stay as there is a hole on the seat behind the panel.
Completed seat with sliding rails
This is now just a large paper weight lol
Would I do it to the Cobra? after doing this and seeing how easy is to reverse it I think I would. Plus once I have set the seat where I want it I never move it so It seems to be a waste to carry the additional weight. I do think this mod is not for everyone, but to those interested if I do end up doing to the Cobra I will post more detail pictures.
