I don't know if any of you have noticed how our fuel line (drivers side firewall) bends towards just 3 inches above the exhaust header as it runs up to the back of the engine. I got to thinking about how a lot of racers thermo wrap their fuel lines (I know vaper lock is not a concern with EFI) to help keep them cool as possible inside the engine bay. So I picked some DEI cool wrap up which protects/reflects up to 1500 degrees of radiated heat. I wrapped that line(s) all the way up into the fuel rails. Nothing I'm going to notice I'm sure, but I like the added protection that's cheap and easy to do.

FYI

I have a small cooler being installed with my fuel lines, can't hurt right

Nope, I don't think it can hurt. After bar b queing over the exhaust header this same fuel line gets to go hug around "old #8" on it's way up to the rails. I cannot see how this is a good thing. Which cooler are you going with?

Little shocked this has not been observed or brought up before... LOL

After researching this more it appears Automakers do this more (heating up of fuel lines) for better emissions and mpg's not performance.
