Decided on Brand of Tire, but which size: 255/40 or 275/40?

Hey Guys after doing a lot of reading it looks like everyone and their mother love Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The only thing I'm stuck on is should I go with the stock brembo size 255/40 or go up to the 275/40? I know they will fit easily on a 9 inch rim, but is the little bit of extra traction worth having larger tires in the front? Do you even get that much traction? I would love to go staggered but these tires are too expensive not to rotate.

Honestly guys, I just really don't want to degrade my handling, so if anyone has gone from 255/40 to 275/40, please chime in. Thanks again!!

I have gone from 275 to 255 and it's a big difference. Compare them side by side and you can see the difference. Do a square setup on the tires and you will get mileage warranty from michelin.

Thanks for response clipboard, did it hurt your steering (turning radius, steering feel, etc.)?
