Looking at getting a DD/project car under $10K...cars that come to mind are...

240
Fox body mustang
3rd gen Camaro
300ZX TT
Lexus SC300
3rd gen RX-7

I'm looking for something manual and RWD. Also, no verts. Open to other suggestions though. What do you all think? Any recommendations? Thanks.

94-95 gt stang. They are dirt cheap right now. Since it is a dd you have to consider that the sn95s drive better than a fox.

You can find plenty lf LT1 camaro's under 10k, and if you search hard enough you can find some LS1's in good shape too.

You could probably find a beater '86 or '87 Buick GN in need of an overhaul for about that much (and if not, a Buick t-type). Not a manual, but a totally badass car in its own right.

Otherwise, I'd say a 3rd gen RX7. Those, too, are badass little cars.

Lincoln mark 8. Those make great sleepers, and mechanical parts are readily available and less expensive than many of the imports listed.

Actually I'd shoot for a decent LS1 car. An a4 with decent miles. Add a built rear, sticky tires, and spray for a beast.

You don't want a thirdgen Camaro, just take my word.

You could find a nice 5.0 Mustang or LT1 Camaro for that kind of money.

I'd personally want a Trans Am.

My buddy is selling his 2002 WS6 is youre intrested. 70,000 miles, SLP exhaust, manual. Exterior is black with silver racing stripes painted on. Interior is tan, has aftermarket CD player and audio system.

PM me if youre intrested

Why would you look at a 3rd Gen Camaro? For under $10K, you can find a totally mint LT1 or even a decent shape LS1 if it's just your daily. Why have 1XX hp when you could have 2XX hp or even 3XX hp?
