Went to the track yesterday with a couple of our maca track guys - most notably Mr. 10.012 Hissssnsvt, and data logged one run to get some IAT2 temps with the new blower. The temperature was in the mid 60's at the time of this run. Don't know the DA or Rel Humidity.

I was seeing 19lbs of boost with the 3.5/4lb combo & running 22 degrees timing with the race gas. I was able to break into the 10's with a [email protected] 1.57 60ft. That was my goal to get a 10 first time out with the 2.6. New goal - keep improving, lower ET's & raise MPH.

Here's the data:

Inlet ---- IAT2 ---- Coolant

88 - - - - 92 - - - - 164 - - start_launch rpms_4987
82 - - - - 96 - - - - 166 - - end of 1st gear_rpms_ 6087
72 - - - - 104 - - - - 168 - - end of 2nd gear_rpms_ 6480
68 - - - - 112 - - - - 172 - - end of 3rd gear_rpms_ 6222
66 - - - - 116 - - - - 182 - - through the traps_rpms 5748

Looking good Matt,

Do you or anyone know at what temp does lowering the IAT2 temps become a mute point? Or can you in theory just keep lowering it as far as you want and keep gaining more power? I would think that the intercooler can only pull so much heat out, no matter what the IC coolant temp is.

Just a thought I have had rolling around in my head for quite some time.

Later
