I am rebuilding my IRS this winter/spring and one of the last items I had to do was replace the bearing inside the passenger rear suspension knuckle. I dropped the knuckle and new bearing off at a local Ford dealer on Thursday and picked it up about four hours later. I went to install it today and noticed the E-Brake ring was broken in half.
The odd part is based on the brake dust accumulation around the broken ring it looks like it was broken for a while (meaning i was driving ti that way). I can't believe I missed this damage during disassembly. Now it is going to bug me for weeks.
