So I'm switching out the comp cams stage 3 NA cams for some custom crower cams. The specs we are thinking about doing is 232-234 intake duration @ 050, 240-242 exhaust duration @ .050, .510/.510 Lift 118-120. Looking to pick up mid range hp and tq. What do ya'll think?

are you running limiters with the S3's? with the specs you have posted its hard to see where you are going to pick up midrange power.

If it were me I would try the comp s3's without limiters and see if you like the mid range. Just seems like a lot of money to swap cams if you can get your mid range back and keep the s3's. Either way in to see what your gains are.

Still going to be NA? I thought you sold the S3's to go FI of some type? I saw you just got the block back. What did you change on the block?

Yes I ran limiters and how do you see I don't pick up mid range power?

well the limiters were what was costing you midrange for starters. and from the limited cam data you supplied...having a tighter LSA and more duration would not equal more midrange
