I am having trouble getting my cruise control to work, noticed it my car and my dads. Both 03's with roughly 70k miles.

When pushing the buttons on the steering wheel it takes multiple attempts to engage. Anyone else had issues? Know what that problem might be?

Same thing happens to mine.. I push it and it takes a few times to engage, then it will kick in and jerk forward all of a sudden to get it up to speed.. I don't mess with it anymore lol

What throttle body are you running? I have an Accufab single blade and it takes a bit to get the cruise to engage. It's a known issue because of the placement of the cruise cable hook up.

Exactly, but I drive the highway so much I really prefer cruise. Or else I speed too much ha.

Accufab SBTB, but my dad's is stock and he has the same issue.

Use it as your line lock engage..

That's what I did! LOL:rolling:

That's the best idea I've heard yet, how did you do that?

But until I put the line lock in I would like cruise to work ha.

Not familiar with this? How can I do that?

Its a switch on brake pedal to turn off cruise..

Most of the time its just an issue after hydrobooster was removed.

cruise not working after...

to reset switch...locate switch attached to side of brake pedal.

un hook rod connected to pedal..it lifts up to unhook..

push rod into switch all the way..should hear a click.

re attach rod to brake pedal with pushing brake pedal to reach rod

Thanks, I'll give that a look!

Accufab TB's have the cruise control attachment in the wrong place causing issues with the cruise control actuation. Mine would get in boost after I set it and caused me to get a little sideways once.

They talk about it some in this thread:

Reading up on that now, thanks for the link
