I can't fully comment about the power by the hour kit. But here is another thing to consider that I haven't really seen mentioned before. The frpp harness includes an EPAS connector for a power steering module that goes on your steering shaft right behind the wheel, to be used with a manual rack. This wouldn't fit in a new edge without some mods from first glance, but I'm sure it could be done.
Another thing worth mentioning is that with the s&r kit, and probably the power by the hour kit, you'd be looking at a serious amount of modification/custom work if you want to put a blower on it. That's actually why I'm switching to electronic power steering.
