I picked up a set of 8 COP's off of a Lincoln Mark8... Went to take the boots off and replace them and I noticed that two of my coils have different part numbers than the rest of them... I assume they had been replaced at one time.

I have EE03A F7LU-12A366-AC (6 of these)

2C6U-12A366-AA (2 of these)

Are the internal specs different in these? I found a website that said that their replacement coil replaced those two part numbers and it was for a 97-98 Lincoln Mrk8.... However, I never trust that. I did notice that the plug in pins were slightly thinner on one set than the other....

Basically, I have a car that runs on ethanol and is 600whp on 9lbs, and I will be turning it up to 18-20lbs this summer... Obviously I would not want any spark differences.

Any insight? Thank you!!!

Being that they're used COPs, you could just as easily have failures if they all had the same part number.

I would take the try it and see approach. I suspect they'll work fine.

Maybe this helps:

Both of your numbers are listed as being replaced by the same part so I think you're good to go.
