I was wondering what I should set the low and high on/off temp on the coolant fans. I'm also running 24 degrees timing. Should I lower this 2 degrees to help with heat? Thanks.

I'd also like to know the answer and how a 160 stat changes the required settings.

I set the low speed to 184 and the high to 194. Is that ok? What about the timing? Is 24 degrees causing too much heat?

yeah, the temps are fine...depends how much you want to run your fan.

the timing's okay too...you don't need that much, but if you want it, cool

So here's where I'm unclear on this...

Because the 160 stat opens at a lower temp causing the radiator flow to happen 20 lower than stock, thus cooling the engine earlier anyways, why the need to also lower the fan on temps?

BTW, do the fan off temps also have to be lowered?

it's really whatever you want....all your choice

you're not going to hurt those fans by running them on high 24/7....we do it on many cars......so whatever you want :)

Thanks. Up here it doesn't usually get all that hot for long periods anyways. Except for last year which was a real scorcher for months.
