Coolant to head temp

How close is the coolant temp to the cylinder head temp on trac apps.

On my Shelby GT500, head temps were 10-12*F hotter than the other sensor located in the thermostat housing.

Just added 160 deg stat and trying to see if it helps.

these 5.0 engine have a flawed water jackets that are smaller between 7-8 or 5-6 than the others
