There's a dark plum color also that looks sort of black until light hits it.

You can get any F150 supercharged by Ford, they have it in the Ford Racing catalog, you just have to let the dealer know when you buy the truck. I believe the other model Ford offers is the FX2 which has this same setup in an extended cab with a body kit, 20'' wheels and S/C. It's Ford's lame attempt for a Lightning substitution. This HD is perfect though, you get 450hp/500tq and the ability to cary 4 passengers comfortably and in style. If I had the dough I'd have one.
The FX2 is not supercharged.

This HD Edition would be the only factory supercharged F150 currently available. You can have a dealer install one of the FRPP superchargers if you'd like, but it's definitely not a factory option.

"The twin-screw supercharger is the same style as the one in the Shelby GT-500. "

:bash: GT500s don't use a twin screw

The second gen Lightnings are 4650 I believe.

My base model new body style Ford F150 out weighs it.

After much research, I've found that the base model 2007 F150 standard cab with 5.4 Triton A/T is: 4811 lbs.

The 2004 Lightning has a confirmed weight of 4670 lbs. We're looking at a 150 lb difference with a 50 HP /60 TQ difference, so we should see close numbers in stock trim.

The 07 crew cab (like that HD truck) comes in at 5900-6000 lbs.
And, that 450hp is crank not rwhp.

Not even close, in stock trim.

No thanks, I'll stick with my 03' Superhcarged HD.

The new F150 looks like a brick wall on wheels. Now the HD package does help a little but I still can't get past the basic truck design. I also can't imagine it being much faster than an 02-03' HD truck. You're talking about a 50rwhp difference and probaly a 100-200lb weight difference. So they probaly run the same if not slower than the older 02-03' HDs.

Trust me, they ARE slower. And I agree, the new truck is Fugly. The interior is nice though.
