I've picked up a copy of the SVT Mustang Cobra Recognition Guide by Schreiner and Sessler, and it's full of great information. It's saved me from asking plenty of questions that I'm sure most folks on the forum already know.
However, there is one item that interests me that isn't fully answered. There was mention of including the convertible X-brace on the R model, but it was eliminated after the pilot run (first two cars) due to problems that weren't fully explained. There is also mention that the tabs for bolting the X brace in place are also there on all R models, it's just that the brace isn't there.
Does anyone know the reason why the brace was not included stock? Is the reason enough to preclude installing the brace on an R model now?
