Those of you who have owned both, which do you preferr, T TOP or Convertible ?
I owned a Z-28 [ T-TOP ] & my Stang [ Vert ].
I like the vert by far.
*** If you like sun roofs \ moon roofs , feel free to express your opinons.

I'v had a convertible (1996 Mustang GT).

Prefer a coupe, but t-tops and sunroofs are awesome (if they don't leak). Best of both worlds.

Verts

I had 300zx with T-tops. Looks cool, but a pain in the butt to take off, store, and put back on. Verts are just a button away and your off. Verts win, two thumbs up

T-tops all the way. I had a '68 Chevelle convertible and an '85 IROC Camaro with T-tops and I liked the T-tops better. Living in Chicago winters may have influenced my choice. T-tops feel like a real roof instead of just a cloth covering. When you take them off you get the convertible feeling. Of course, neither one compares with riding a motorcyle. That is the true open air experience. You can't put your feet down on the street in a car.

I've owned many of both. I think the t-tops give you 80% of the convertible without any of the drawbacks (security, safety, wind noise, tighter car, ect).

I had an 85 GT TTop, I loved that thing to death.

I also now have a convertible, see sig, and I love it as well. The only thing that sucks about a 'vert is when you're going a little bit faster than you should,...at least with the TTop you "felt" like you were a little safer.

I got my brothers old 86 300ZX as my first car and it had T-Tops and I loved them........of course it was my first car and it was free so I would have pretty much loved anything that was given to me. ;)

One prop to give to the t tops are that they are easier to maintain than vert tops.
You don't have to worry about someone poking a hole in them.
Although, theft is a issue at times.
Whe you wash your car, you can wash the tops with soap & water, no special cleaning agents needed.
My Z-28 was pretty quiet too, not much rattling.
Vert having the button to push to let the top down or up is great though. :coolman:

T-Tops

I have always thought that they looked cool. I thought about converting my GT to t-top but did not want the leakage.

I prefer verts. I had a 70 Corvette T-top...it didn't didn't give me the top down feeling like a vert did.
