Converter install questions

Going to be doing a converter install sometime in the next few weeks and I have a couple of questions. First is I want to change all the fluid over to Amsoil at this time. What's the easiest way to do this?

And second will I have to remove my ARH longtubes to pull the transmission?

I know in the past I have flushed atf using the 1 quart at a time trick through the radiator cooler lines. Essentially you disconnect both of the 2 cooling hose going to the radiator heat exchange. Find which one the atf is being dumped from and put a tube on it going into an empty jug for the old fluid. Turn car on shift from r to d and back to park, turn off car.

Measure the amount of fluid that drained out and pump in the same amount, repeat until you gone through 12 to 16 quarts
