Last yr ran the 275/60R15 MT ET street radial. It would hook and hold in general fine, but damn car would fall flat on it's face and bog even with 5k launch. Now granted the clutch is pretty much on or off and was learning it. Pretty much was just dumping clutch and not really slipping at all......

Also I seemed a little low on RPM crossing traps like 132mph. I also seemed to shift into fourth really late down track.

Have ran slicks on my old fox with a stick and no issues with how it handled....

So i have considered the Hoosier QTP and 27" tall this go.
-it is 8# lighter than the MT DR
-it will be softer sidewall to absorb some shock (better for drivetrain, right)
-should allow a harder or higher rpm launch to help with bog
-should help low mph gearing, yet grow at top to keep rpm's well under 6800.

Thoughts?

I ran QTP's on my 408W Fox ...nothing less than a bias-ply slick with a couple groves cut in them. They work for sure.
