Hello

I'm building an engine (for my 2001 cobra and doing a eaton swap at the same time) and cant decide on the compression ratio.

I currently have a stock eaton with a 2.80 upper

Would it be a problem to raise the compression to 9.1
Consindering i'm running 99 octane at the moment and the long term goal is E85 and a whipple.

Thanks for your input.

With E-85 the sky is pretty much the limit. 10:1 Compression with a Whipple at 20+ psi is considered ok for E-85.

Depends on the cam events and the dynamic compression. Take some time and read this. Then download the calculator and play with a few cam profiles/static compression ratios.
