Took the car to a performance shop to get a general checkup on it.

Build is as follows.....
- Bored and stroked (about 10k on the build)
- heads / rest of the motor have about 85k on it and are stock to my knowledge

Compression test came back at 165 - 170 on all 8 cylinders (So this is good)

Leak down test had a bit of a range on it. 4 & 6 were highest & right on 20% , then there was a bit of range from there on the other 6 cylinders.

Ultimately, I know compression tests are subject to "false findings" , oil in the cylinder can cause better "compression" and falsify this.

However I am not sure what I should take away from the leak down results. I am ASSuming the leak down was done correctly with all cylinders at TDC but lets say for argument sake it was done correctly.....what would cause the 20% on leak down ? Just heads with 85K miles on them? Or should I be looking at something else?

Would you guys typically investigate 20% leak down on a motor?
