Put together a little video of my cams. Thought you Gen 2 guys might like a decent reality check on what they sound like.

Comp Cams XE278AH VIDEO

A few observations.

- You need a stall convertor.
- Raise the 1-2 shift for low throttle / low speed shifts.
- Don't lock the convetor under 40mph.
- Might consider advancing 2 or 4 deg if you want to make better low end power.
- They like rpms!

Thanks guys,

I was laid off this summer and had to sell my headers. I'm pretty sure that would have made a big difference for mid and top end power. As is on a 4lb lower it'll pull good to 5800rpms then you can feel it nose down. (stock manifolds & cats = 12.55 @ 109)

I put a 6lb on it Sat and wrote a new tune. I'll have to experiment this week and find the new shift points.

Rich

btw, I updated my engine web page. Check it out linked from my main web page.

Same CAMs I got! There amazing but sound way more ridiculous with better flow. Mine sounded similar to yours until I put my whipple on and got better air flow through out the engine.

Nice video too!
