compass heading vs diplay

i have a question...i just noticed on my nav that my compass heading:shrug: display seems to be wrong...if the car says i am going SW as indicated next to the "outside temp" display(upper off center to the right) the compass display shows SE...is that right?:shrug:...

guess the question is how do i fix it..i went into calibrate..but nothing seems to change?

depends on the setting. I know mine has 2 to choose from. North always at the top no matter which way the car is heading. Then there is the position relative where it constanly changes with the direction of the car. If you have it set to screen relative it should line up with a compass with no problem.

If you set it to North always up it will always be different because the direction displayed is the way the car is heading. North will be up top but west can be displayed if the car is heading in that direction if that makes sense to you
