Hey guys, this is a wierd one so any help will be appreciated. My girlfriend goes to UC San Diego and she got ticketed for having an expired sticker on her license plate. Thing is, she got ticketed for this by the UC police (not sure if theyre actually police) while her car was parked since the date her sticker expired so here is the first question,
Can she be ticketed for having a late sticker if her car has been parked since the date she has been ticketed?
Also, I thought this was a fix it ticket but the ticket she was issued was a straight out fine so the second question is,
Is it a fix-it ticket or can she be straight out fined?
Also, she had wanted to drive her car back for christmas break, but originally could not because of the late sticker, but now that she has been ticketed for this,
Is there a time period where she cannot be ticketed for the same offense twice even though the people who issued her the ticket was the college "police"?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
