Code P1518

So I went to get E-Checked today and the car threw a code P1518.


Went to dealer and they said it was " Intake Manifold Runner Stuck Open"

Anyone have any more insight on this? Dealer wants $80 for part which isnt too bad but they want $200 for fix. If I could get the part is it something I can fix? I am mechanically inclined.

"IMRC", it is a simple installation IIRC. It is the box that sits on the front bank of your engine. 4 little bolts and a cable going out of it to under the throttle body. You can definitely replace it yourself and save that $200! :thumbsup:

Thanks buddy! I just returned form DFord wiht the part thatg costs me $85. I will try and swap out tonight!
