My cobra lower intake cracked where the stock temperature sending unit screws in. I think it would be just as cheap to pick up another one instead of trying to fix mine. I have a few people wanting to sell me an explorer/gt-40 lower but will those work without any modifications....a direct bolt on?

Nevermind, I forgot I had asked this question before. I just need to make sure the explorer lower has EGR and the ACT hole.

I have a guy that is wanting to sell me an explorer lower that has EGR. He also says he will go ahead and tap the hole for the sensor. However, I noticed on his explorer intake and many others the plate on the bottom side is much bigger than the one on my stock cobra lower. Will it still work fine with these plates being a different size? What is it even there for? Here is the size of the explorer one for example:
And mine is more this size.
