Alright, guys/gals,

I have started back on my project. I have a 93 cobra that was built to race. I am taking it down to be a daily driver with a little umph. I put it together a few months back and got this weird ticking/tapping sound. I just couldn't figure it out. So I purchase another short block. I am about to put it together, I pulled the original cobra cam from the block and notices some wear patterns as well as a nick on it. Would you guys use this cam or not. I don't wanna purchase a new cam. I have a stock gt cam I could use but wondering what you guys would do.. Would that nick in the cam cause a tapping sound? The nick is in the first pic.

That cam is trash. That is what's known as contact stress fatigue. If you reuse it, there is a very good chance that you will have a fracture that starts right there.
