clutch chatter

So yeah, I got a new clutch put in while the transmission was dropped for the broken retainer. Stock kit, Ford racing t/o bearing, resurfaced PP.

The clutch will chatter right at the point of engagement. Not really noticeable on the street, but very pronounced when I am backing into the garage up an incline where I may be letting the clutch in and out as I back in.

Why? Does it need to 'break in'? Is there something during the install that may have been done to spec?

Thoughts?

Agreed! As it breaks in, it will get better. I have a spec 3+ and it used to chatter like hell. It did it even worse in reverse. Now, it's smooth as can be!
